With over a decade of experience and a journey that is as personal as it is professional, Eleni Gillis founded Academic Edge Advising out of a genuine passion for helping students discover and reach their full potential.
Eleni's path began in the classroom as a homeschool teacher and admissions advisor — but her expertise deepened in the most meaningful way possible: as a homeschool parent herself. She homeschooled two of her three children through 8th grade, navigating curriculum planning, record-keeping, and the transition back to traditional academics firsthand. She has personally guided two children through the college admissions process, with her third embarking on that journey this summer.
That rare combination of educator, advisor, and experienced parent gives Eleni an insight that goes far beyond textbooks. Since 2013, she has been the trusted guide that families turn to when the path forward feels overwhelming — bringing warmth, wisdom, and a deeply personal touch to every student she serves.
